Your Guide to Dubai Expo 2020

In a city that itself is a global destination and has the power to shape the future – Dubai, the Expo 2020 is being held. Kicked off this month, after being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dubai Expo 2020 is expected to have 25 million visitors, with more than 70% being from outside the Emirates.

So, let’s take a dive into what is the Dubai Expo and what it holds this year!

What is the Dubai Expo 2020?

Expo (Exposition) means a large-scale public exhibition. The Expo 2020 this year is going to be the greatest show hosted by Dubai, providing a world-class experience on science, tech, culture and the brilliance of innovation.

In the extravagant event, there will be 190 pavilions of different countries, showcasing the future through innovation. It is located near Dubai South, near Al Maktoum International Airport and is spread across 4.38 kms.

Dubai Expo 2020: Themes and Sub-themes

The theme this year is “Connecting Minds and Creating the Future". The theme is aimed at creating an inspiration for the audience with three more sub-themes Sustainability, Mobility, and Opportunity.

What’s in store?

  • Every day over 60 shows will be held at the Dubai Expo 2020.
  • Along with the 190 pavilions representing different nations, there will be more than 200 restaurants at the event
  • Special Initiatives:
    • Expo Live: This initiative will offer funding, support, and exposure to innovators and creators who are bringing solutions to life and contributing to a better society.
    • Global Best Practice Programme: It will showcase real solutions to the world’s problems with the aim to expand them on ground elsewhere.
    • World Majlis: It will be diverse forum where viewpoints from world leaders will be shared and discussed.

How will the Expo 2020 impact Real Estate?

Already brimming with skyscrapers, UAE is already shining bright in terms of tourism and attractions. With the Expo, 25 million+ people are expected to set their foot in UAE. Real estate will be on a strong rise as these visitors, will look for a residence for a couple of months.
